We provide palliative and end of life care to adults with a progressive, treatable but not curable life-limiting illness or with severe frailty, and also their family, children and carers.
We care for people across our 700sq mile catchment area which covers Bath & North East Somerset (BaNES), and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset, including Frome. Our services provide physical, psychological and/or spiritual support, and are free of charge. We’re available day and night to ensure that you have the right care, at the right time.
When someone is ill, it’s not just the patient who is affected. Life can be turned upside down for the family and for friends and carers.
That’s why we’re here for you, for as long as you need.
In 2022/23 we:
– Cared for 2,846 patients across our community
– Supported 936 family members and carers
– Delivered 30,896 hours of Hospice at Home care
– Hosted 5,190 psychological support sessions
– Investigated 33 research projects
It costs £14.5 million each year to run Dorothy House and deliver the care we do, and we couldn’t do it without you, so please do join us at this year’s Frome Running Festival!
Each participant of the Frome Running Festival will receive:
– A FREE Dorothy House running vest
– A Fundraising Guide to support you with tips and tricks.
– Support from a dedicated member of the Fundraising Team
– The feeling of amazing joy whilst helping support patients and their families in Frome
and beyond.
