Join Team Dorothy House and help raise vital funds to deliver care to people with a life-limiting illness in our community!

We provide palliative and end of life care to adults with a progressive, treatable but not curable life-limiting illness or with severe frailty, and also their family, children and carers.

We care for people across our 800sq mile catchment area which covers Bath & North East Somerset (BaNES), and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset, including Frome. Our services provide physical, psychological and/or spiritual support, and are free of charge. We’re available day and night to ensure that you have the right care, at the right time.

When someone is ill, it’s not just the patient who is affected. Life can be turned upside down for the family and for friends and carers.

That’s why we’re here for you, for as long as you need.

In 2024/25 we:
– 4,254 people cared for
– 2,750 calls to our 24/7 Advice Line
– 15,344 Hospice at Home visits to patients homes
– 335 Children’s Support Worker visits
– 7,347 hours of internal and external training delivered by our Education team

It costs £19 million each year to run Dorothy House and deliver the care we do, and we couldn’t do it without you, so please do join us at this year’s Frome Running Festival!
